June 2010 Board BriefsJune 21, 2010, 6:00pmJune Board BriefsTom Bean Independent School District The Board of Trustees of the Tom Bean Independent School District held a public meeting to discuss the proposed budget and proposed tax rate at 6:00 PM followed by the regular monthly board meeting on Monday, June 21, 2010. President, Brian Trentman called the meeting to order and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited while Steve Book led the invocation. The minutes of May 13th, 17th, and June 9th along with the Financial Reports were approved as presented. The campus principal reports were given with the total enrollment, attendance, discipline, number of walk-through evaluations, and number of teacher absences. The budget was approved along with the proposed tax rate for the 2010-2011 school year. Peggy Miller, Business Manager presented the budget amendments for the 2009-2010 school year which the board accepted. The Superintendent gave a report to the Board explaining the events of the Graduation for 2010. The next board meeting will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 7:00 PM.
